Product Overview
SPUR-type adhesive is based on silyl-terminated polyurethane (STPU) technology. It combines a polyurethane backbone with a moisture-curing silane mechanism to support elastic bonding and sealing in demanding industrial environments.
Depending on the confirmed formulation and substrate, this chemistry can provide strong adhesion to aluminum, steel, glass, coated metals, composites, and other porous or non-porous materials, together with low shrinkage, elastic recovery, paintability, and resistance to water and weathering.
The product can be developed for shipbuilding and marine maintenance, transportation body assembly, metal panel joints, and vibration-prone seams. Aircraft use must be limited to an application and formula that have passed the required substrate, environmental, flammability, smoke, toxicity, and aviation-program validation; it must not be assumed to be a structural aircraft adhesive.
